Why I write
Before the books, there was a life of service.
I did not arrive at these lessons from a distance. I learned responsibility in places where clarity, preparation, and the care of people mattered.
My journey has included seven years in United States Air Force Security Forces, service in law enforcement, ministry leadership, and stepping into leadership of an existing church Safety and Security Team. In that role, I helped restructure and organize the team, implement training and procedures, and strengthen its overall effectiveness. I am also a husband, father, and grandfather. Each role has reminded me that leadership is never merely about holding a position. It is about what people experience under our care.
I write because principles must work with real people, especially when someone is confused, emotional, inexperienced, or under pressure. The Elder's Pen is where I pass forward the lessons faith, service, study, and responsibility have placed in my hands.
